Thanks to The Home Depot’s associate volunteer force, our West Kelowna Activities Centre has been
renovated to better serve the needs of our participants. Pathways Abilities Society is grateful for the work of Rafael and his crew from Home Depot stores in West Kelowna and Kelowna, who spent the Remembrance Day long weekend painting, building walls, and installing shelving to transform this space in the downtown West Kelowna core.
Together with The Home Depot Foundation, Team Depot since 2011 has volunteered more than two million hours of sweat equity to address the immediate needs within its neighbourhoods. Last year, more than 54,000 associate volunteers helped further the mission and impact of The Home Depot Foundation by completing more than 2,200 projects in communities across the
country.

Our West Kelowna site is enjoying a consistent influx of new participants, and our expansion has diversified our activities to include hiking, golfing and community gardening, along with a weekly visiting music therapist. We are so excited about the future for our West Kelowna centre. Thanks so much Team Depot for partnering with Pathways Abilities Society to enrich the lives of our participants. What a great team: Steve, Suzette, Tina, Derryn, Rachel and Rafael. Congratulations also to Pathways Joanna Wittke, Activity Supervisor, and Associate Executive Director Terry Ginther for spearheading this community partnership.
